I invite you to embark on an ongoing photographic odyssey - one of exotic locales, colorful characters, strange customs and untold adventures. Not to be overshadowed, New York City, a microcosm of the world, pulsates with art, fashion and culture, with surprises and contradictions all its own. Long Island beckons too, from North Fork vineyards to South Shore beaches. I hope my paintings and photos inspire and inform. Lake Louise
Near Banff. I used portrait framing to demonstrate the multiple levels of depth within the landscape. Note the rocks in the foreground, middle ground lake, and several layers of dramatic snow capped peaks. A multilayered composition creates dramatic feeling, and like a multilayered individual is far more interesting. Also observe the speckled foreground shadowing. When everything is not at once revealed, or obvious to the eye, a sense of mystery and intrigue is generated. Perhaps that is why King Herod could not resist Salome and her "Dance of the Seven Veils". /travel
