I invite you to embark on an ongoing photographic odyssey - one of exotic locales, colorful characters, strange customs and untold adventures. Not to be overshadowed, New York City, a microcosm of the world, pulsates with art, fashion and culture, with surprises and contradictions all its own. Long Island beckons too, from North Fork vineyards to South Shore beaches. I hope my paintings and photos inspire and inform. Nomads of Jaisalmer
Some years ago, when I was at the Thar desert, in northern India , Rajasthan, near the border with Pakistan, I encounter a group of bedouin people. Their skins are dark and wrinkled from the sun, yet their gaze is alert and knowing. The blue eyes are striking and remind me of the genetic mixtures inherent in northern Indian peoples, a beautiful result of thousands of years of asiatic and western conquests. I took this photo with a simple point and shoot camera, well before i upgraded to an SLR, and after the photo the camera fell into the sands, lost into the infinite remoteness of time and space.
